Navajo silversmith Marie Jackson was born in Ganado, Arizona. Marie got her start as an artist after she was exposed to demonstrations of Navajo rug weaving. Her husband, Internationally known Navajo jewelry designer Tommy Jackson was born in Phoenix, Arizona, in January of 1958.
Tommy learned the art of silversmithing from his parents, Martha and Gene Jackson while growing up in Chinle, Arizona. He is known for merging traditional Navajo designs with modern-day aesthetics in his dynamic silver and gold jewelry. Together they create beautifully hand-crafted pieces of art using various techniques.
