GREAT NEWS!

REMINDER:

Christmas will soon be here! What better place to complete your shopping, than the Pickle Barrel Trading Post!

Some of our favorite new products are from Little Amigos South America. Maker of fine alpaca blankets and woolen hats. Read on and enjoy a little history of how this unique business got its start.

Little Amigos South America is a family owned and operated business working directly with artisan families in Ecuador. They are an Ecuadorean/American family!

They started out selling their treasures at artisan fairs and farmers markets in Dana Point California and after many years of hard work and perseverance, they decided to relocate to a small town in Ecuador to really embrace and live the life they share.

Their mission is to grow together with the artisans from the different communities they work with. They believe in fair trade and the support of small family businesses.

Their blankets are crafted from a mix of plush alpaca and recycled fibers. Alpaca fibers are incredibly soft, making them comfortable to wear against the skin. The hollow structure of the fibers provides excellent insulation, making alpaca wool warm without being heavy. Unlike sheep's wool, alpaca wool lacks lanolin, making it a great option for people with allergies.

Their popular hats are 100% wool and create a stylish addition to any outfit. Available in sizes to fit both men and women.

Stop in at the Pickle Barrel Trading Post and grab a few blankets or hats! They make great Christmas gifts and will last for many years.
