1. BESH BA GOWAH

Learn about an ancient tribe that inhabited this part of the country more than 800 years ago at the fascinating Besh Ba Gowah Archeological Park and Museum located in the city of Globe. The Besh Ba Gowah (which translates into "place of metal") site, home of the Salado people from about 1225 to 1400 A.D., is considered a prehistoric center of culture and heritage as exemplified by longstanding historical remnants. Inspect what remains of the excavated ruins and gain a deeper insight into the area's history. You can also visit the museum to peruse antique artifacts and objects.

4. COBRE VALLEY CENTER FOR THE ARTS

The Cobre Valley Center for the Arts is in downtown Globe, Arizona. This former 1906 Gila County Courthouse houses an active art, theater and music community. The Center’s mission, as a 501(c)3 organization, is to advance the arts and art education in our local communities, as well as to provide and maintain these facilities as a thriving, historic art center. It has been lovingly restored and improved by volunteers over the past nearly 40 years.

5. CHRYSOCOLLA INN

Chrysocolla Inn dates back to the Turn-of-the-Century where it served as a boarding house for working men and wealthy merchants flocking to Globe to follow the booming copper mines. The Bed and Breakfast offers six bedrooms, upper and lower garden patios, and several common areas making it ideal for weekend get aways, intimate events and social occasions.
