Smudging with sage is a ritual used in various Indigenous and spiritual practices to cleanse a person, space, or object of negative energy, promote healing, and invite positive energy. It involves the burning of sage bundles, which are typically dried white sage leaves, although other types of sage may also be used.

Typically, once the sage has been lit and is smoldering, it is then moved slowly in the direction you wish to cleanse. If cleansing a space, you can walk along the perimeter of the room or house, waving the smoke into corners, doorways, and windows. If you're smudging a person, hold the sage near the individual (but not too close) and let the smoke envelop them.

In many cultures, the symbol of the evil eye is an eye-shaped amulet, typically depicted as a blue or turquoise eye, which is believed to protect against the negative energy caused by envious or malicious looks. It's commonly used in jewelry, charms, or decorations.

The idea of the evil eye dates back to ancient times, with roots in Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, South Asian, and even European cultures. The amulet or charm, which can be worn or displayed in a home or workplace, is used as a talisman to protect against misfortune caused by envious stares.

Palo Santo (which translates to "Holy Wood" in Spanish) is a sacred tree native to South America, particularly Peru, Ecuador, and parts of Colombia. The wood of this tree has been used for centuries by indigenous people for spiritual and healing purposes. When burned, Palo Santo produces a fragrant smoke that is said to have a soothing, calming, and purifying effect.

Traditionally, Palo Santo is burned as incense during ceremonies, meditation, and prayers to cleanse the environment, remove negative energy, and attract good fortune. Some people use Palo Santo for its potential physical healing properties, such as relief from headaches, anxiety, or inflammation.

Soap carries a profound spiritual significance of cleansing and purification. In many spiritual practices, it is common to cleanse oneself physically before entering a sacred space or performing a ritual, and soap often serves as a symbol and tool for this purification process.

Just as it removes physical impurities, dirt, and grime, it can be seen as a metaphor for the cleansing of the mind and soul. Therefore, the spiritual meaning of soap centers around personal transformation, purification, and the renewal of one’s spirit and surroundings.
