AUGUST 2024 - WHAT'S INSIDE OUR STORE

If the heat's getting you down, just hop in the car and head to Globe where it's ten degrees cooler! We've got 8,000 square feet of shopping! You'll also find plenty of restaurants and fun things to do!

OUR HISTORIC BUILDING HAS QUITE THE HISTORY...

Construction began on the Old Dominion Commercial Co. Warehouse in 1905. It was built of durable Maurel Block, poured on site by Jule Maurel. The railroad tracks ran along the west side of the building where the commodities were loaded.

The most dramatic renovations began in 1994 when the previous owners embarked on a big project to transform the old post and beam-constructed building into an antique shop and personal residence. The current owners acquired the property in 2003, and completed the interior renovations that began all those years ago.

Today’s owners retained the name Pickle Barrel but added ‘Trading Post’ to the name to denote the addition of a Native American gallery that features fine art, jewelry, Indian crafts, authentic trading post supplies, and much more.

Whether it's Navajo, Hopi, Santo Domingo, or Apache jewelry you are seeking, you'll be delighted with our great selection of fine sterling silver jewelry and beadwork. Crafted by hand and painstakingly detailed, the design possibilities are endless, and the choice is yours!

A beautifully woven basket is not only a collectible piece of art, but also demonstrates the distinctive talent of the many Native American Tribes and the specialized skill passed down through generations.

You can find a generous selection of sizes and price points available at our store.

Who doesn't love a great piece of wall art? Expand your southwest look with one of our popular canvases, original paintings, metal art, or one of the many other choices to be had at our store!

Pendleton fans will love the newest design options available at our store! Whether it's a blanket, sling bag, tote, duffle, or beach towel, we've got your color! New inventory arriving weekly!

A favorite at the Pickle Barrel Trading Post, pottery is a great choice for any space in your home. Add a little color to a boring shelf, display cabinet, or coffee table and enjoy a piece of Native American history. Choose from Acoma, Jemez, horse hair, and Navajo pieces.

Delight your senses in a one-of-a-kind encounter! Stroll through four considerably sized rooms filled with a large array of unique gift items for every occasion. The Pickle Barrel Trading Post is a one-stop shopping adventure you won't want to miss!
