Danny Jackson is a Navajo silversmith from Chinle, Arizona. His brothers, Tommy and Gene Jackson, are well-known silversmiths featured here at the Pickel Barrel Trading Post frequently. They come from a long line of silversmiths, dating back to the 1800’s. From the age of six, Danny began smithing plain silver rings and some with bezels and stones. He started working on his own in 1994.

Morenci Turquoisecomes from Southeastern Arizona, close to the New Mexico border. Perhaps its most unique feature is the pyrite matrix which runs through the stone. Pyrite, most commonly referred to as Fool's Gold, is a metallic mineral which winds its way through Morenci cabochons. When the stone is polished, the pyrite looks silver, which run like clear streams in a field of blue.
