Navajo Horse Hair Pottery by Myron Charley
The distinctive pattern in this pot is made by using hair from the tail and mane of a horse. The pottery is fired using a special technique that is both hazardous and time-consuming. After firing, the piece is rock polished, painted and etched with a Kokopelli design. This pot is an original, signed on the bottom by Myron Charley.
