Bates Model B Brass Wire Spool Stapler
Circa early 1930's, this green wire stapler is still fully functioning, and has a near full spool of brass wire. With each press of the handle the wire is fed through the body, and each staple is individually cut and bent before being pressed into the paper. Without a doubt, the Bates brass wire stapler was the best stapler ever made. The first machines, the model "A" using steel wire, were made up until about the 1920’s. In the late 1920’s the Model "B" was introduced using steel wire for a short time, then changed to brass wire. 8.5 inches long and 4.5 inches tall.
